The first and usually most obvious indicator of your undertone is to decide whether a silver or gold sheath of fabric held around your neck and near your face is most flattering. Some people look amazing in bright bold colors and others wear soft muted colors better. Use one or all three of the following steps to decide your undertone:ġ. Especially if the dress is made of some luxurious material, for example lace. If you are wearing makeup it should be matched to your skin tone anyway so you will get the same result. Soft neutral, like beige, blush and nude evening dresses work fabulously. If you find yourself looking better in Light Fuchsia and blueish Greens than Peach consider whether you could be a Soft Summer instead. To start make sure you have natural lighting, this is key! Whether you are wearing makeup or not doesn’t matter so much, go with your usual day to day beauty routine. Styling Shop True Autumn True Autumn is the original Autumn season in the four seasons colour analysis and sits between Soft Autumn and Dark Autumn on the seasonal flow chart. Light Peach and Salmon work great in almost monochrome combinations, along with Light Moss, Salmon or even a very light summer Lemon Yellow. Instead, try the gentle tones of Khaki, Buttermilk or Light Grey as neutrals. Bright colors will overpower you easily, and you may end up looking clownish if you use them as makeup. Black and other dark colors, for example, are to be particularly avoided. This means Soft Autumns lack colors such as the oranges of Warm Autumn or the darker colors present on the Deep Autumn palette. The best colors for a Soft Autumn are soft, delicate and not too cool or too warm. While the coloring of this season is muted, the colors of the palette makes the overall effect rich, soft and inviting. The best way to know if you are a Soft Autumn is to look at which colors look good on you.
